About
Nether Tree Games is the one-person studio of Dutch developer Timo Boom, making the games Timo wants to play but that don't exist yet. The name combines "Nether", from the Netherlands, and "Boom", Timo's last name and the Dutch word for tree.
Every game is built in a low-poly art style. The studio's first project, the open-world roguelite RPG Prophecy Island, released a free demo on Steam in January 2026. Its second, the Halloween co-op action game Trick or Eat, launches on Steam on October 12, 2026.

Description
Halloween night, and the monsters are going door to door. Whoever opens up gets eaten. Defend the neighbourhood solo or with up to three friends: fight ghouls, witches and werewolves, spend your candy on upgrades, and if you fall, rise again as one of the monsters.
Every run crosses five procedurally generated neighbourhoods, from quiet suburbs and farm towns to bayous and graveyards, each ending in a boss encounter. Players choose from 16 classes, each with its own melee weapon, ranged weapon, ability and passive.

Description
Prophecy Island is an open-world roguelite RPG where every playthrough is different. A curse has been spreading across the island for as long as anyone can remember, and an ancient prophecy tells of the one who will end it. Seven factions each believe the prophecy is theirs to fulfil. The player chooses whose side to take.
When a run ends, the island is born anew: its layout, main storyline and side quests are procedurally remixed. Combat is deliberate and souls-like, and sigils let players shape their weapons and spells.
